Perversely, this wine carries the ?Vin de Pays? label because it comes from an excellent vintage which produced an abundance of grapes. Realising the quality of the harvest, Monsieur Bouchard decided not to restrict his production to allow the wine to carry the ?Cotes du Rhone? appellation. However, this is a very stylish wine: it has aromas of fresh red fruit and, in the mouth, a lively attack without aggressiveness. It is a very full wine, with great suppleness. Excellent value. Year 2004.
